Privacy Policy

postship (“postship”, “we”, “us”) helps builders turn a rough idea into platform-native social posts written in their own voice. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to usepostship.app and the postship app.

Information we collect

We keep this deliberately small. We collect:

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier. We use this to create and secure your account.
Voice samples. The example posts you paste to build your voice profile, and the derived “voice instruction block” we generate from them.
Generation content. The ideas or URLs you submit and the posts we generate for you, so you can revisit your history and so we can enforce usage limits.
Usage metadata. Basic counts and timestamps (e.g. how many generations you've run today) needed to operate the free tier.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your voice samples or generations to train our own models.

How we use your information

To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
To generate content in your voice — your samples are sent to our AI provider only to produce your requested output.
To enforce free-tier limits (e.g. the daily generation cap).
To operate, maintain, debug, and improve the service.

Service providers (subprocessors)

We rely on a small set of vendors to run postship. Your data is shared with them only as needed to provide the service:

Supabase — authentication and database hosting (stores your profile, voice profile, and generations).
Anthropic — the Claude AI model that generates your posts. Your input and voice block are sent to Anthropic to produce output.
Firecrawl — when you submit a URL, we send that URL to Firecrawl to extract its text.
Google — sign-in (OAuth).
Vercel — application hosting and delivery.

Data retention

We keep your account data, voice profile, and generation history for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing us — we will remove it within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records to comply with law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email hello@usepostship.app.

Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS), row-level security so users can only access their own data, and server-side handling of all API keys. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

postship is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Google API disclosure

postship's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We request only your basic profile and email, and use them solely to authenticate you.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
